Why Whole Food
When it comes to health, nothing seems to quite
take the place of what is provided by nature. Studies have proven
over and over again that when we get our antioxidants, vitamins,
minerals and other nutrients from the whole food source rather than
from a tablet the benefits to our bodies are pronounced. Small
amounts of certain nutrients, called phytonutrients, are present
in whole grains and whole vegetables that seem to work together in benefiting
the body when they are consumed in their original whole food form. These
benefits are impossible to get by stripping out or extracting certain
vitamins and other nutrients from the whole food. By giving your
children whole foods throughout the day you are ensuring that they
will get the maximum benefit from all the nutrients they are eating
and drinking.
